Over the past years, the IASC has received dozens of requests from around the world to give people the size of the Aloe industry for both raw material and finished products.

Several IASC board members worked with us to address this issue. Even though we did not have any hard data, we estimated the Industry size as follows:

  • Aloe raw material: $65 - $80 million
  • Finished products containing Aloe: $110 billion dollars

About six months ago, we visited with Dr. Santiago Rodriguez, a well-versed and respected individual in the Aloe business, to attempt the task of getting a more realistic figure for the size of the Aloe Industry.

Dr. Rodriguez took on this task by contacting numerous agencies and companies in an attempt to come up with a more realistic figure, and he did!

He spent months pulling information together and arrived at the figure of $125 million dollars of Aloe raw material cost. This was slightly higher than our estimate, but was told that the figure is growing greatly as we open new frontiers of Aloe growers in different parts of the world.

Dr. Rodriguez, thank you for taking time on this laborious task. Your presentation was well received and helped greatly.
