Additional Responsibilities
|
Recertification is due annually following your initial certification. The process begins by invoicing you for recertification costs and requesting samples of the raw material last used and identifying the raw material manufacturer, lot number and date of manufacturer or code. The sample(s), along with the latest finished product, if finished product, is to be sent to the IASC office according to instructions on the invoice. These samples for analysis are also part of the recertification process and needs to be sent to the IASC office. Invoicing will be done with instructions 2 months prior to the invoice being due. This way you will have ample time to get the samples and literature to our office by the due date. You have the aforementioned 2-month period to work on the samples we need for recertification prior to the due date. If we do not have the samples and payment within 90 days after the due date, your certification is no longer in effect. If you wish to continue your certification, you will need to go through the initial certification process again. Should you elect not to recertify, you have 90 days from the due date of recertification to change your labels or screening to remove the IASC seal. Any existing inventory bearing the seal must be covered with a sticker after the 90 days. If not covered, you will have violated the IASC trademarked seal usage. All of these regulations are essential to maintain the high standards of what the seal represents.
